Does my pet need sedation or anaesthesia to get an X-ray or ultrasound?

Sedation or anesthesia may be used to reduce anxiety and improve the comfort and safety of your pet during the procedure. It can also greatly increase the quality of the images captured for more thorough reports.

Will my pet experience any side effects after an ultrasound?

Ultrasounds are typically a non-invasive procedure that causes no harm to your pet. The procedure is simple enough and works similarly to humans getting a routine ultrasound. If sedation was used, your pet may feel the after-effects (most common: disorientation, grogginess, lack of appetite) for up to 48 hours.

What is the cost of an ultrasound or CT?
